Singapore was so amazingly FANTABULOUS!!!
Of course with me around..wakakaka..it all started on friday...Since kien and i were, techinically backpackers, we took this cheap bus down from kluang.it cost us 7.50!! damn cheap..but then travelling on buses are really troublesome. First you have to stop in JB to interchange on to another bus. Course we took the s&s transit. Also called the 170. Got yelled at by the driver in front of everyone since we were both super ulu didn't know where to pay the fare. Cost us 1.80 to go into Singapore. =P
My phone in singapore did have roaming!!! damn freaking sad. so yours truly was cut off from the world of smses and phone calls..sobs....
Got dropped of at the Kranji Mrt where we took a train to Kembangan. Now you'd think singapore is small...but Nooooo...the train ride took us like an hour. yes i kid you not, just to get to my cousin's house. ish ish...anyways, it was already about 1 and we were damn hungry. so after we dropped our stuff off, johnny boy ( my dear coz) took us to orchard. nyek..so stoopid, i was looking forward to some authentic singaporean food but that fella only patronizes good cafes in town. so we ended up at the food republic, which is some fancy name for a food court. ish ish...anyways the food was good so no complaints..=P
after that we kinda wandered shopping malls. i mean it's orchard wut...every single mall is connected be it underground or by the road. wakakaka then we went to meet moi alan at the orchard mrt just to you know say hi and all that. but then he was meeting his fwens since some people tot i was so callously gonna abandon him in singapore. aih...but never mind, we went wondering again...

at the kranji mrt..
my kinda place...=D
orchard mrt huhu...with my 'tour guide'..
oh man, think i must have walked for like two hours before we did stop for a coffee break ... seriously, i've never done such aimless walking like this before..
the milk at starbucks is so amazingly creamy...
met up with moi alan again afterwards. the friends he hangs out with in kl and singapore are all mostly girls too..=P so we hung out with denise and cassie and some other singaporean guy whose involvement i shall mention more about later on.ohhhh...alan got a new camera!!some 6.0 megapixel casio camera.quite a good deal. 659 singapore dollars with two 512 memory cards and a necklace watch thingy which is apparently all the rage now. happy happy we totally cam whored the camera out..
we split up after that since kien wanted to go to coven street to get some car stuff and johnny boy was about to blow his top after the constant provocation of a certain overly hyper singaporean..
besides, i did wanna watch pirates =P
so denise brought us to gelato which has the best waffles in town. wasn't such a fan of sweet stuff after all the ice creams i had that afternoon. but nevermind...
waffles were okay...
wakaka first shot in his new camera..
i like the diff tea colors...
then that singaporean guy who we just realised was denise's ex boyfriend and was uninvited but just came anyway cos he thought alan was denise's current boyfriend. ugh...at least at the beginning he was quiet(assessing the situation prehaps? ).then we he got the message there was nothing going on...aih..i'd wish he'd stuck to being quiet. seriously, towards the end, kien almost whacked him up, alan wanted to slap him, and i was about to kick him . I mean that fella can out crap anyone. think marcus times hundred. our FEW conversations went something like this :
Idit : hey, you know you'd look cute when you don't push up your face like that..
(thinking he was referring to the way my head was held up)
me : what? it's okay.
idit : no no, don't push your face up
(when i'm posing for more pics)
idit : see you're pushing your face up again.
that's when i realised that obnoxious twit was criticizing the way i smile. that night was a lesson of self restraint.
BECAUSE he was 17, i did not yell at him.
BECAUSE i tot he was moi alan's friend, i gave him face
BECAUSE i just met him, and he's acting like a immature brat with low self esteem,
BECAUSE i was happy and totally if possible ignored him.
then was the arcade while we waited for the movie to start. oh man, those singaporeans can so totally out play us in photo hunt.( maybe it's cos of their attention to every little thing) their highest score there is 12 million!!!
yes and that obnoxious twit when i did manage to spot the difference.
"hey you finally managed to do ONE"
he wanna fight is it?!!??
i kenot believe it,and moi alan's friends there, even thre girls are all com crazy...
i actually got invited to a cyber cafe to play WoW and counterstrike..haha in singapore...and i actually accepted!! well in singapore, do as singaporeans do eh..too bad moi alan didn't wanna go..keke...
i even played mario kart with the girls. and they beat me flat!! actually i got second, but that was cos they were blowing each other up. damn shame man...kenot drive in video games...
oh my god i'm so totally in love with the flip-flops!! damn colorful..but too bad one costs like 40 bucks. which is about RM100...
the bikinis there are so hawt!
pirates was so stoopid...no head no tail. two and a half hours of three way duels with plenty of round circular objects. too many bad guys to keep count on. =D
by the time the movie ended it was almost midnight, so moi alan and i decided to go check out clarke quay for a proper dinner. oohhhh....saw the ministry of sound. damn nice ler...and there were soo many mini coopers there with the "ministry of fun " written on it. soo kewt....
somehow ended up at marakesh, a morrocan restaurant..it was soo decadent. soo arabian night-ish...
there were swings with padded cushions...

my mojito.
anyways,we didn't get our dinner since that place don't serve food after ten. but i did get my mojito(mint rum and lime).the atmosphere was too appealing to just leave...
so we ended up in hooters for our real dinner...hooters as in the place famous for woman with big boobs and ultimate short shorts. we had fries and some spaghetti. it's was actually really good. the sauce was creamy enough..nyek....
course it was getting late, so we had to go home...but...
saw a guy in a trishaw at the taxi stand. i mean what are the chances of a trishaw guy at 1.30 am right???!!?? since it was of course ahem..god's will..wakaka we did take the trishaw ride ...sorta like a sightseeing trip around singapore city. what better time than at night when there's hardly any cars on the road..? the old man as really sweet to, tried to give us a running commentary on everything even when he couldn't speak english and we couldn't understand mandarin..everything was perfect..the weather..being a tourist with totally no plans and expectations, just going where our whims take us...
on the bike
outside raffles hotel. the super nice trishaw guy actually stood in the middle of the road to take this for us,,=)
since the old man was super nice, i did tip him too. wakaka...he even opened the taxi door fer us..
reached home almost three. lucky janice did manage to wake up to open the door for us...=D
being a total bum the next day, didn't go do some serious backpacking with kien. apparently, he wanted to go to little india and chinatown(good thing i didn't go ..johnny boy and him ended up walking for two hours)..ish..besides, my whole body was aching from yesterday. moi alan and i ended up watching three back to back csi episodes with janice.in the end, we were just counting the dead bodies and getting upset cos there were to many 'whole' corpses. no mutilated ones this time... Finally got out of the house at 1.30pm to meet steven. mwah so sweet of him to go all the way to the kembangan mrt to get me..=P
went to suntec city to have lunch. we were both dead hungry so somehow ended up in some korean restaurant. got seduced by the sizzling beef outside..aih...but we knew nothing about korean food!! i know nothing about kim chi..or bolgogi or whatever..i do know that i like jap food soo much better...
little steven...wakaka
told you it was weird...
after that, he brought me to the sky garden. it's like this garden on the rooftop..with a fountain quite shady, full of trees. and people actually go up there to chill to take a break from shopping or whatever...very peaceful...

damn zen-ish
haha after that we started walking around, course good things don't last forever, and i did have to meet janice at 4.30 for some serious girl shopping!! ish ish and that big fella refused to go shopping with me...nyek..wut is it with guys and shopping???!!??
course it doesn't affect my couz tho.when talking about clothes :
"wan ni,actually i don't like this season's zara men's line"
aiyo...finally!! i've got a guy to drag shopping with!! muahahaha...
after being dragged from tangs to isetan to mng by janice...yup yup and i finally got a dress!!! ahem...i've been dying to get a dress for ages..it's more like a summer dress. it's not for any formal stuff...it's something like a 'first date dress' thingy. wakakaka....happy happy...
see the thing about singapore is, you meet everyone you know there. and i don't know many people, but seriously, when steven and i was just walking around we met kien and johnny boy at the escalator.course i was looking for kien to give him some money. and when janice and i were just about to go looksy for alan he's sitting at mcd's with his friends! OMG so de freaky liddat.haha and i really like alan's friends(eleana, cassie and mel) tho..granted that they're all 16 and girls..(peadophile!!) wakakaka..
janice and i
anyways, courtesy of janice's suggestion, we went to the esplanade hawker centre for dinner. and my dear dear cousin did not see fit to tell us that some bay beat sheet was happening there. Bay beat's this music festival..one buck short from malaysia was there!! damn freaking crowded ler. and the esplanade's hawker centre is probably the only place where everything is SELF-SERVICE. tried the supposedly famous char kuay teow there.after Q-ing up for 20 minutes. yesh....forgot that singaporeans like their char kuay teow sweet something about indonesian soy sauce....so weird...
eleana, cassie and i at the esplanade..nyek..
p.s eleana does remind me of ginny.
haha my dear coz with that char kuay teow sheet..
moi bodyguards for the trip..
our schedule fer the night
somehow ended up at the rooftop of the esplanade after it got too crowded.

damn my masterpiece..!! from the rooftop of the esplanade..
me and the chicks!!
melissa and i. she's damn tall...scary...^_^
course the view was fantastic and it was really breezy and would you believe we were just chilling there cam whoring for almost an hour..doing nothing...but those singaporeans can totally out cam whore me!!
with cassie. moi alan says we look alike!! do we ??? do WE???!!??
i think not..
waiting for the taxi..
then being the tourists we were...went on the water taxi which brought deep into clarke quay...not bad..but too touristy for my taste. and the boat ride was soooo long!!
love the singapore skyline
chilling at the mrt...
took us an almost an hour. by that time , it was like 10 something at night. so the girls had to go home and kien being the gentlemen(actually he was pretty tired from that day's backpacking) went with them. alan and i wanted to chill around singapore somemore. ish ish....then janice called and told us to meet her at geylang. let me tell you it was damn farked up looking for taxis on saturday nights!! sheet we took at least half an hour of aimless walking cos
a) most taxis were on call. meaning if you pay call taxis they'll come to you personally AND for only 4 extrra bucks. so as usual those kiasu fellas..
b) the drivers are really freaking picky about where they wanna go!!
well at least they don't cheat you.
so deaded in the taxi...
so armed with only minimal knowledge about where to meet in geylang (that red sign, lorong 9 and some bean curd sheet) we miracously found that place. famous for it's yau cha kuai and bean curd thingy. actually damn nice. haha al least one of my cousins know how to get good food around...geylang was prob the only place in singapore which reminded me of malaysia. haha it was dirty, run down...ahh the petaling street of malaysia.!!
at geylang..haha i actually like that place. it's a whole diff breed of singaporeans down there..more ah bengs and ah lians over there..
my dazed crazed look after playing with moi alan's PSP...nyek...very engrossing...
wakaka..waiting for my prince...well this is what you get when you've got writer's block at 2 in the morning...
apparently johhny boy has it in his head that i can write mushy stuff after SOMEONE showed him my blog. since he's my favourite male cousin...=D
mmmmmmmmmmm...........
my cousins..mwah love you guys..!
sobs..for my last day in singapore...bet moi alan ten bucks i would wake up at 9 to go roller blading with him. well i did wake up at nine...felt this major pain in my chest..it's like when you're breathing in, there's this huge pressure on the right side of your chest. damn.freaking.painful. so obviously i couldn't go roller blading. scared i'd faint or something. nyek..so i did go back to sleep...until 11. since we had a train to catch at 12.30...didn't do much but have lunch with my uncle.went to tanjong pagar train station. it's funny, cos it's this train station which is malaysian property right in the middle of singapore. but no mrts go there. so it's sorta like a train station..in the middle of no where.
going in was like a blast from the past. gone were the fancy mrts marble and glass buildings. i felt like i was in the 1950s...one good thing tho, it's really nicely preserved..
sighs..when in singapore...
a)never EVER convert stuff. then you'd feel like sheet. just take everything in singapore dollars. and sset a limit. 200..all you're gonna spend...then do it..wakaka...so i did...
course time was super short there, wish i could shop more, sight see more, and spend more time with little steven. didn't see him in ages...nvm..i'll go again !! haha..
and i need to try their famous amos cookies!!
