So the other day i got a formal invitation to try this 1 week diet programme courtesy of Kookie and Sylvana. But i've got to make ONE thing clear, I am not going on no freaking diet to get thin (tho that would be nice). Kookie told me that the diet would be nice and tasty..^_^ Obviously i can't refuse NICE AND TASTY food.
Anyways after class we went to King's College Hall, which incidently is at some ulufied place to cook. Went down to Sainsburys to do some grocery shopping. Damn near cried when I SAW the ingridients; onions, celery, green peppers, tomato puree and chicken stock. NO FREAKING MEAT at all okie.
So in the end, we decided to make the vegetable soup AFTER some real dinner, with creme caramel to boot. ehehehehe...A girl needs to eat.

The calm before the storm

Kookie and his onions...^_^

For starters, we had to chop everything up before chucking it into the pan.
Something i find quite worrying, my potential housemates to be,*if i ever end up moving out* is Elaine was Sylvana. I mean they're fantastic and all. We get on really well and i lurve them to bits but there's this tiny problem. Neither of us can cook.
My last attempt at cooking was some pitiful laksa crap which was so bad it looked like shyt.

So in the end it was Kookie doing most of the work

Don't you love domesticated guys? Let's me get on with my thing happily munching on my little oranges !! mmmm......

While kookie was cooking, what else could we do but...

cam whore...

Suprisingly, the vegetable soup was really really tasty. I mean if one were to eat it for a week, it's possible to lose some weight. Of course eat some chicken and beef. Plus drink water or barley water or black coffee and tea.
Absolutely NO:
food with sugar etc, fried food, coffee with sugar ( i damn near cried when i realised i couldn't have my STARBUCKS.
But it's a pretty decent HEALTHY diet without starving yourself a relatively easy to make once you get past the chopping part.
The recipe:
3 sweet onions
half a bunch of celery
half a head of cabbage ( cut it into strips)
half a green pepper
2 cubes of chicken stock.
1 can of tomato puree

Just chuck it all in.That makes enough for two days.

After that met Kookie and I met up with the rest for a pint or two (urgh sounds so british!!!) at the Hogs Head cos of the half priced drinks every monday night.
Plus, it's really great for pre drinks before going clubbing. But obviously there's a limit to drinking. Especially most malaysian who feel that they need to get really tipsy or drunk before heading out to the dance floor. but that's another story..^_^
